Estimating Manager

Permanent position: Do you love the mountains, and everything that comes with Mountain living? Our client in Big Bear, Ca is looking for an Engineering Estimator who will manage projects in planning, design and estimating of 34kV transmission, 4kV distribution and substation projects, including new business projects. Relocation assistance available

Responsibilities for the Estimating Manager

  • Reporting to the Engineering and Planning Supervisor who is accountable for directing the activities of the district including the development of long and short-range system designs to meet current and future electrical requirements. The Engineering Estimator is accountable for managing projects through completion.

  • Identifies wire sizes and equipment in the field to provide appropriate engineeringsolutions to Company problems.

  • Completes pole replacement designs, including secondary circuit analysis, poleloading and equipment sizing applications.

  • Performs field engineering, design, estimating and the inspection of systemextensions for service to new and existing customers.

  • Performs field engineering, design and estimating for capital improvement projectsas directed.

Requirements for the Estimating Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience performing duties such as, estimating, planning, anddesign work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
